Øygarden Active is located in Øygarden municipality, just outside Bergen, in the beautiful coastal landscape of Western Norway. Our base is situated under the Rongesunds Bridge on Toftøy in old Øygarden.

No experience is required. Our activities are suitable for beginners as well as more advanced participants. Our guides provide safe instruction, and all necessary equipment is included in the price.
What courses does Øygarden Active offer for youth and adults?
We offer courses in kayaking, SUP, and climbing for both youth (from age 13) and adults. The courses provide practical experience and confidence in nature — perfect for anyone wanting to learn more about the sea, wind, and coastal environment.
What time of year can you join activities at Øygarden Active?
Øygarden Active is open for most of the year. Spring, summer, and autumn are ideal for kayaking and climbing, while winter offers calmer nature experiences, sauna sessions, and special events. We adapt activities according to season and weather conditions.
Do you offer kick-off events for companies in Øygarden (near Bergen)?
Yes. We tailor kick-offs and corporate events with activity packages by the sea, modern facilities (in collaboration with 155.no), catering, and professional talks upon request.A typical teambuilding day can include a floating sauna, coasteering, FLYT, kayaking, boat and fishing competitions, climbing, or nature-based teamwork challenges.
How many people can your meeting room accommodate?
We have seating for up to 28 people on the second floor and a mingling area for 18 people on the first floor. The pier and outdoor areas can be used depending on weather and season.
Can we book a private floating sauna for a company event or summer gathering?
Yes! You can book the entire sauna privately at Kolltveit or Toftøy through our partner solution. It’s perfect as a finishing touch to an active day or as a stand-alone social gathering.
Can we include professional content or presentations in addition to activities?
Yes, we collaborate with skilled speakers and can organise combined days with professional sessions, meetings, and activities. This is ideal for leadership groups, strategy workshops, and client events.
How close are you to the sea, and which activities are suitable for all levels?
We are located right at the water’s edge in Øygarden. Activities are adapted to the group’s wishes, abilities, and weather conditions. All participants receive guidance and the necessary safety equipment so that everyone can join safely — regardless of experience.
